MLB rule change is affecting pitchers far more than ever expected
MLB's new pitch clock is leading to unexpected arm injuries among pitchers.

The Seattle Seahawks signed five of their eight 2026 draft picks to four-year rookie contracts. Notable signings include cornerback Julian Neal and guard Beau Stephens.
The Seattle Seahawks announced the signing of five of their eight 2026 draft picks on Thursday afternoon.
The five players to sign first all range from Rounds 3-7. They all signed four-year deals, as is typical with rookie contracts.
Former Arkansas cornerback Julian Neal, who the Seahawks took with the 99th overall pick, is the only one of Seattleās Day 1 and 2 players to have already signed. His reaction to being drafted says it all about how excited he is to be a Seahawk.
Former Iowa guard Beau Stephens, who the Seahawks traded up to select 148th overall at the beginning of the fifth round, also signed. He was a first-team All-American in 2025 and will likely be NFL-ready from the jump.
Former Toledo cornerback Andre Fuller was a strong athletic tester who the Seahawks took 236th overall in the seventh round. While the team took three cornerbacks, his explosiveness should set him apart in certain roles.
Former Minnesota nose tackle Deven Eastern was the 242nd overall pick and seems like a developmental project for the latter part of his four-year contract. Heāll face an uphill battle to playing time early on, but has a high ceiling that he could reach with time.
Former Arizona cornerback Michael Dansby was the 255th pick and Seattleās last of the draft. He was a key cog in a great Arizona secondary that saw multiple other players drafted higher, but knew how to play well around them, which Seattle likely valued.
Seattle still has yet to sign their top two picks, former Notre Dame running back Jadarian Price and former Texas Christian safety Bud Clark, and their sixth-round pick, former Kansas wide receiver Emmanuel Henderson Jr., but they should be expected to sign in the coming days or weeks.
UPDATE: Henderson Jr. also signed Thursday afternoon. That leaves just Price and Clark unsigned heading into rookie mini camp.
