While the NFL world is fixated on the schedule release, the Seattle Seahawks have made a few tweaks to their 90-man roster.
On Thursday, the team added undrafted rookie receivers Rashad Rochelle and Trayvon Rudolph. Rochelle was part of Carolina Panthers rookie minicamp as a tryout player, likewise for Rudolph with the Tennessee Titans.
Former TCU outside linebacker, Devean Deal, who signed with Seattle as an undrafted free agent, was waived to make room for the new receivers.
Rochelle originally played at Rutgers before transferring to Indiana State, where he caught 97 passes for 1,270 yards and 12 touchdowns for the Sycamores. He also was their primary kick returner, with 43 runbacks and a touchdown over two seasons.
Rudolph played four years at Northern Illinois before he flipped over to Toledo as a fifth-year senior. He amassed 192 catches for 2,482 yards and 12 touchdowns. Much like Rochelle, Rudolph was a standout kick returner and even led FBS in kick return yards during the 2020 season.

Maybe the 2024 season was enough for Mike Macdonald, Jay Harbaugh, and John Schneider to heavily emphasize keeping their options open and varied at the kick returner position.
