SEC cornerback has Colts' attention in pre-draft process

Florida cornerback Devin Moore has the Indianapolis Colts' attention prior to the 2026 NFL draft.

In an interview with Sports Illustrated's Justin Melo, Moore mentioned the Colts as one of several teams he has met with. Moore did not specify whether it was a virtual meeting or if he met with the Colts at the NFL combine.

Moore played 1,195 career defensive snaps, 556 of which came during the 2025 season. In coverage, he allowed a completion rate of 57% on 30 targets, surrendering 11.1 yards per catch. Moore came away with two interceptions and three pass breakups. He was a sound tackler and was one of PFF's higher graded run defenders at cornerback.

Moore is the 105th-ranked prospect overall on the consensus big board.

Here is what NFL.com's Lance Zierlein had to say about Moore in his pre-draft scouting report:

"Moore is a long outside cornerback with good size but limited experience due to injuries. His size and length benefit him from press. He plays with adequate eye balance as a short-zone defender. Moore is a good deep-ball tracker who tilts jump balls in his favor, but he lacks make-up speed to run down coverage mistakes. He’s upright with sluggish hips in transitions and is missing the foot quickness/acceleration to stay connected with quicker route-runners. Improved anticipation and decisiveness should come with more snaps but durability concerns could hurt his draft stock."

To wrap up his interview with Melo, Moore was asked what kind of impact he could make at the NFL level:

"I’m going to show up every day ready to work," Moore said. "I want to help improve the organization. I want to help us win more games than we did a year ago. I want to be an asset off the field as well. I’m going to be a great locker room guy."

What is the Colts need at cornerback?

With Kenny Moore presumably going to be traded, that does impact the need at cornerback. The Colts are still positioned well here, with Sauce Gardner, Charvarius Ward, Justin Walley, and others, but the cornerback depth will take a hit. This still may not be a Day 2 need, but spending a pick on this position is much more in play.
