See it: Giants' Isaiah Likely refining skills at D-Rob Sports & Fitness Training

The New York Giants are in the midst of some major changes in 2026. There are new coaches, new players, players who have left for other organizations, and, most recently, Dexter Lawrence has requested a trade.

On top of that, the 2026 NFL draft is just over a week away, and teams are finalizing their draft boards.

While front office staff prepares for the draft, players are getting their bodies ready for organized team activities and minicamp as the offseason ramps up. Newly-signed tight end Isaiah Likely is working with renowned coach David Robinson, and we got a sneek peak at the Giants' acquisition.

"Isaiah is excited to play for his former head coach and be the new leader in the tight end room," Robinson told MLFootball.

Likely played his first four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, catching passes from Lamar Jackson. Jaxson Dart is every bit the mobile quarterback that Jackson is, but he is still young, while Jackson was already a veteran when Likely came into the league. 2025 was a down year for Likely, and it's clear he wants to remedy his production.

The Giants' tight end room is a youthful group, save for Chris Manhertz, who just turned 34. Theo Johnson was a 2024 draft selection, and Thomas Fidone was drafted in 2025.

Likely is entering his fifth season in the NFL, so he brings experience as well as talent, and he's already familiar with a quarterback who can be unpredictable. His knowledge and experience will benefit both Johnson and Fidone as the season wears on.
