The 2026 LHSAA Baseball State Tournament brackets are out, featuring 28 teams from Lafayette Parish and nearby areas. Opelousas Catholic is the top seed in Select Division IV, with several other teams also earning high seeds and byes in the first round starting April 16.

Last year, three 337-area teams got to bring home some hardware and, now, the journey starts all over again.
This year, 28 teams hailing from Lafayette Parish and its surrounding areas have earned a spot in the playoffs. Securing the highest seeding is Opelousas Catholic, earning the No. 1 seed in Select Division IV bracket. Teurlings Catholic earned the No. 3 seed in the Select Division II bracket, following the Rebels is Acadiana Renaissance Charter at No. 4.
Coming in at No. 4 of the Select Division I bracket is St. Thomas More, while Erath secured the No. 5 seed in the Non-Select Division III bracket. All of those teams, along with Eunice and Rayne, will receive byes in the first round of the playoffs. While they wait in the wings, postseason begins for the rest of the area with the three-game, first-round series set to begin April 16.
