Should the Bucs take Kenyon Sadiq at 15 overall in the draft?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may be eyeing an unexpected direction in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft. According to recent reports, Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq is considered a real possibility for Tampa Bay with the No. 15 overall pick.

At first glance, tight end may not seem like the most pressing need for the Buccaneers, especially after giving Cade Otton a 3-year deal worth $30 million dollars to stay in Tampa. But Sadiq isn’t your typical prospect at the position, and that’s exactly why the fit is starting to gain traction. Sadiq brings a rare blend of athleticism and versatility that could immediately elevate Tampa Bay’s offense. Known for his ability to stretch the field, create mismatches, and line up all over the formation, he profiles as more than just a traditional in-line tight end.

He’s a weapon that offensive coordinators can move around to exploit defenses. After losing Mike Evans in free agency, an elite prospect at 6'4 with sure hands who can line up anywhere on the field can help fill that void.

Adding a player like Sadiq would give Tampa Bay another high-end option in the passing game, someone who can threaten the seam, win against linebackers, and even challenge defensive backs in space. In today’s NFL, those hybrid tight ends are becoming increasingly valuable, and Sadiq fits that mold.
