With defeats against Newcastle United, Everton, Manchester City, Manchester United, Brighton & Hove Albion and now Forest, the Blues have matched the same number of consecutive losses they suffered in the 1993/94 campaign, only their second in the Premier League era.
Back then, the London side lost to West Ham United, Norwich City, Aston Villa, Oldham Athletic, Leeds United and Arsenal. Under Glenn Hoddle, the team finished 14th that season.
Before the rebranding that saw the English top flight become known as the Premier League, Chelsea had already endured an even worse run. That came in Division One in 1952/53, when they lost seven straight games against Sheffield Wednesday, Cardiff City, Newcastle United, West Bromwich Albion, Middlesbrough, Manchester City and Manchester United.
Chelsea is currently on a six-match losing streak in the Premier League.
Chelsea's previous worst losing streak in the Premier League was also six matches, occurring during the 1993/94 season.
During their current streak, Chelsea lost to Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United, Everton, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Brighton & Hove Albion.
