"I mean, just be prepared for anything," Maxey said. "The playoffs and playoff atmosphere, and all that stuff, a lot of things, like, weird happen in playoff games. You know what I mean? But trust your work. Trust your work. Shoot the ball when you’re open, make plays when you’re open, pay attention to detail, know the scouting report. That's really it."

Either way, the Sixers have an opportunity to close out the 7 seed and secure a trip to Boston to face the Celtics in Round 1 of the playoffs. They do not want to risk having to play in a second game of the play-in so this opportunity on Wednesday has to be treated like a Game 7 for this group. The youngsters are going to learn quickly about what the postseason is like.

"We got a great opportunity to close out, or, you know, lock in a playoff seed here on our floor," added Paul George. "It don't get no better than that in this situation. So, we should look at it as win or go home. We shouldn’t be looking at a Plan B or an option B. So I think that's just the mentality we need to have coming into Wednesday. It's the mentality we need to have now. Wednesday is too late. We need to have that mentality now. So, yeah, it just don't get no better than that in this situation."
