Skinner fully-focused on the challenge as Manchester United prepare for Brighton
The Red Devils are set to end the 2025/2026 campaign trophyless while recent results both domestically and in Europe have attracted some criticism.
When speaking to the media ahead of this weekendâs Barclays Womenâs Super League fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion, Manchester United boss Skinner said that he continues to give everything in a bid to evolve the team and to enable them to push for more silverware.
âWe are fully-focused on getting the team where we want it to be and the reality is, we havenât finished the job yet,â Skinner said. âIâm whole-heartedly [working] to put our team where we want it to be which is winning titles and winning things going forward.â
This weekendâs opponents Brighton & Hove Albion are in great form having recently beaten both Arsenal and Manchester City. Skinner expressed the need for his side to attack the Sussex club and cause them defensive problems.
He said âIf you look at the start of the Man City game, Man City probably should have been 3-0 up with the chances that they created.
âWhat Brighton have done fantastically well is to get over the hump at the start of the game and to bring it back to win the game in incredible fashion. They were excellent in the Arsenal game and theyâve obviously got an FA Cup semi-final against Liverpool coming up. Thereâs a lot of growth from them.
