Newport County have placed Wales midfielder Matt Smith on the transfer list along with forward Ged Garner.
Smith, who has 19 caps, became former manager David Hughes' first signing in June 2025 on a two-year deal after leaving St Johnstone.
But the 26-year-old only played 22 times for the Exiles last season - including 13 league starts - as the club avoided relegation from League Two on a nerve-wracking last day of the season under current boss Christian Fuchs.
Garner, 27, scored two goals in 29 appearances last term, while fellow front man Courtney Baker-Richardson is one of seven players departing Rodney Parade following the conclusion of their contracts.
Liam Shephard, Anthony Driscoll-Glennon and Jaden Warner, plus youngsters Nelson Sanca, Riley Lonergan and Jac Norris are the other departures.
