Brenden Rice has not experienced the same early success as his father. Once projected as a Day 2 pick, Rice fell to the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft, where the Los Angeles Chargers selected him.
Since entering the league, Rice has yet to appear in a game and has bounced around the NFL. He is now joining his fifth team.
Most recently, Rice spent time with the Las Vegas Raiders during the 2025 season and into the offseason. The Raiders waived him to make room for other acquisitions.

Rice put together a productive college career, recording 103 receptions for 1,674 yards and 20 touchdowns. During his senior season, he caught 11 touchdown passes from future No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams.
Rice also contributed as a returner at Colorado, totaling 587 yards and a touchdown on 20 returns. Although his NFL opportunities have been limited, he has managed to stick on practice squads early in his career.
