Oklahoma Sooners will host local QB recruit Nash Henry from Norman North High School during their spring game this Saturday. Henry, a sophomore, threw for over 3,000 yards and 29 touchdowns last season and has several upcoming visits lined up.
The Oklahoma Sooners will wrap up spring football practices on Saturday with the annual spring game in Norman, and they'll have a local standout recruit in the stands. According to 247Sports' Mike Roach, class of 2028 quarterback Nash Henry will be visiting OU on Saturday for the spring game. Henry hails from Norman North High School, where he threw for 29 touchdowns and over 3,000 yards last year as just a sophomore. While Oklahoma has locked in a commitment from their preferred passer in the 2027 class in Jamison Roberts, there's still a long ways to go when it comes to the '28 class.

— Mike Roach (@MikeRoach247) April 14, 2026 The Sooners have yet to offer Henry, but they've already had him on campus once, as he visited the Sooners earlier this month. Oklahoma's only QB offer so far in the '28 class has gone out to Graham Simpson, the younger brother of former Alabama QB Ty Simpson, out of the state of Tennessee. However, it looks like the Sooners are keeping a close eye on a potential emerging star that is very close to home. Had a great time visiting @OU\_Football! — Nash Henry (@TheNashHenry) April 11, 2026 Speaking of trying to keep local talent home, OU has also been in pursuit of Rejoice Christian High School's Kamieon Compton-Nero, an athlete in the Owasso area. Compton-Nero plays in the secondary and at quarterback at the high school level, but the Sooners would likely have designs of him playing safety at the college level. He was also in Norman earlier this month, and has already received an offer from Oklahoma. As the current No. 1 player in the Sooner State, Compton-Nero will be another player OU can watch closely over his final two high school seasons. Great day in Norman‼️ Thankful for the time with @CoachVenables and @coach\_bhall reinforcing all that OU is and how I will be developed on and off the field.
Also great to spend time with another great safety from the 918 @RobertJ3nnings
