Sophie Cunningham found her distraction at Fever practice — and it wasn’t basketball

“I don’t fangirl over anyone BUT @blakeshelton hands down the best,” she wrote on social media.

So yeah, distraction confirmed.

More than just a random stop

Shelton was in Indianapolis promoting his Ole Red restaurant and live music venue, which is set to open in the city in the near future. But for a few minutes, that business trip turned into a crossover moment between country music and the WNBA. And it worked.

For Cunningham, who is returning after an injury-shortened 2025 season, the moment added a little extra energy to camp. For the Fever, it was a reminder that even in the middle of a serious preseason grind, there’s still room for something fun. Because sometimes, the biggest moment at practice has nothing to do with basketball.
