Kelsey Plum has re-signed with the Los Angeles Sparks for a one-year deal worth $999,999. This will be her eighth season in the WNBA and second with the Sparks after previously winning two championships with the Las Vegas Aces.

Four-time WNBA All-Star Kelsey Plum will be back with the Los Angeles Sparks next season. The veteran guard will be going into her eighth WNBA season and second with the Sparks after reportedly agreeing to a one-year, $999,999 contract, according to ESPNās Shams Charania.
Plum joined the Sparks for the 2025 season after playing six seasons with the Las Vegas Aces. She won back-to-back WNBA championships with the Aces in 2022 and 2023.
Plum, who won the 2021 WNBA Sixth Player of the Year, left Las Vegas in search of a larger role with a different team. Plum was stuck in the shadows of four-time WNBA Most Valuable Player, Aāja Wilson, and splitting time with Chelsea Gray and Jackie Young.
With the Sparks in 2025, Plum averaged a team-leading and career-high 35.1 minutes per game and started in a career-high 43 games. She also averaged 19.5 points and career-bests with 3.1 rebounds and 5.7 assists.
Plum is Helping Sparks Build A Championship Team
Plum reportedly accepted a less lucrative contract this offseason to give the Sparks some more flexibility to bolster the roster. Charania reported that Plum could have signed for as much as $1.4 million.

The Sparks signed 10-time WNBA All-Star Nneka Ogwumike and three-time WNBA All-Star Dearica Hamby to high-paying contracts this offseason. Hamby, who won the 2022 WNBA championship with the Aces alongside Plum, will reportedly earn more than $1 million per year, according to ESPNās Alexa Philippou.
Sparks forward Cameron Brink will also be back for her first full season since tearing her ACL in June 2024.
Los Angeles has missed five consecutive playoffs but Plum is helping the Sparks take steps toward its first playoff appearance since 2020.
