The Dallas Stars received positive news as veteran forward Tyler Seguin is expected to be ready for training camp ahead of the 2026-27 NHL season after recovering from a knee injury.

The Dallas Stars were eliminated from the Stanley Cup playoffs after losing Round 1 to the Minnesota Wild, securing only two wins compared to the Wild's four.
That said, the Texas franchise received good news on Monday. It appears that veteran forward Tyler Seguin will be available for training camp ahead of the next NHL season.
"Tyler Seguin is expected to be ready for training camp next season with the Dallas Stars after tearing the ACL in his right knee on Dec. 2," NHL independent correspondent Taylor Baird wrote.
Seguin, 34, said on Monday that he feels good, acknowledging that it was tough to endure an ACL tear, which is not very common in hockey.
"I feel good," he said, via NHL.com. "It was tough. I guess ACLs aren't that common in hockey. It was hard to really bounce these questions off other players. There's not even really a true open book on, get on the ice at this time right now, you can then do this, you can now cut this way."
Prior to his injury and surgery in December, the native of Brampton, Ontario, had 27 appearances this season with Dallas, scoring 7 goals and adding 10 assists, for a total of 17 points.

Seguin will enter next season in the eighth year of his 8-year deal, with a total value of $78.8 million and an average annual value of $9.85 million. The 2026-27 campaign could be the veteran forward's last in Dallas.
"I feel deep down I'll be as strong as ever," he also said on Monday. "It's like going into the offseason, you have one or two lower-body days, except now you're doing them four days a week."
