There have been moments this season where the physical demands have clearly caught up with him.

In certain matches, Pedri has looked drained towards the final stages, limiting his ability to fully express his technical brilliance. Still, this speaks more about his commitment than any weakness.

When compared to other top midfielders in Europe, the gap becomes even more striking.

Players like Sandro Tonali (11.39  km), Martin Zubimendi (11.33 km), Dominik Szoboszlai (10.98  km), and Vitinha (10.71 km) all operate at significantly lower averages.

Even Real Madrid’s Aurelien Tchouameni (10.70 km), known for his physical dominance at Real Madrid, falls well short of Pedri’s numbers.

Beyond these numbers, Pedri’s importance has grown even further in recent weeks.

With key figures missing from the starting lineup, he has taken on additional responsibility, even wearing the captain’s armband at times and he has taken over the role with absolute class.
