It was the legendary Cam Heyward's birthday on May 6, and out of everything the Pittsburgh Steelers veteran could want for his birthday, it hilariously boiled down to Aaron Rodgers returning to the Steel City.
Taking to social media on his special day, Heyward joked on an Instagram story that a Rodgers signing "would be a heck of a present". While this likely Heyward making light of the Rodgers' waiting game, it exemplifies the bond these two veterans forged last season.
Back in March 2025, Heyward had seemingly taken aim at Rodgers' decision-making process, saying that "either you want to be a Pittsburgh Steeler or you don't." But he quickly dismissed any claims that he was calling out the veteran quarterback and went on to have a strong relationship with Rodgers in 2025.
After months of speculation, Rodgers is reportedly set to visit with Pittsburgh this weekend, and if all goes well, Heyward could very well have his now-belated birthday wish granted for the 2026 season.
