With just over two weeks to the 2026 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers are wrapping up their Top 30 visits. On Tuesday, the Steelers had a trio of players in for a visit including Washington wide receiver Denzel Boston and Florida State defensive tackle Darrell Jackson Jr.
Jackson is a prototypical 3-4 combo defensive lineman. At Florida State, he lined up as a defensive tackle and slid out as an end, depending on the situation. Jackson measures up at 6-foot-6 and 313 pounds with an elite wingspan and hands.
At this point in his career, Jackson's game as a run stuffer is much further along than as a pass rusher. Jackson looks lost on the outside at times but he plays hard through the whistle and seems to be highly coachable and willing to polish up his game. The Steelers currently have three picks in the third round of the 2026 NFL draft, and Jackson would fit nicely with one of those last two thirds to help bolster a defensive line in the midst of a rebuild over the last two seasons.
