One of the most interesting positions to watch over the course of the offseason is the Pittsburgh Steelers' quarterback position.
We don't know if Aaron Rodgers will return, and Will Howard and Mason Rudolph are the other options Mike McCarthy has to call on.
But there is another -- rookie Drew Allar.
As the Steelers underwent rookie minicamp over the weekend, McCarthy, who has a knack for developing quarterbacks, gave a rather interesting update on what he saw from Drew.
"He's physically gifted, he's a gifted thrower of the football, but he's no different than any other young quarterback that I've had the opportunity to work with," McCarthy said. "Frankly, the first thing that we did with Drew and just no different than we did with Will [Howard] and Mason [Rudolph], we have a profile tape.
Mike McCarthy offered insights into Drew Allar's skills and potential as a rookie quarterback, emphasizing his intriguing qualities.
In addition to Drew Allar, the Steelers are evaluating Aaron Rodgers, Will Howard, and Mason Rudolph for the quarterback role.
The status of Aaron Rodgers remains uncertain as the Steelers assess their quarterback options for the upcoming season.

"So we were able to do that evaluate that, and tried some things that he responded very favorable. So, he made a very good first impression.”
Personally, I don't think so.
Howard and Rudolph, I would expect to be ahead of Drew, and we can include Aaron in that equation as well if he returns.
While Allar clearly impressed McCarthy at minicamp, he's not going against the veterans of the team like he will be at various stages during training camp. That is when we will see how Drew really operates the offense.
Until then, all Drew can do is stack good days of production and continue to learn and grow, which, going by McCarthy's comments, he's already started doing in his first NFL offseason.
