The Pittsburgh Steelers could be a wildcard in this year's draft, as they have several different options to consider on offense. They might focus on positions ranging from quarterback to offensive line to wide receiver.
Although the Steelers acquired veteran wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. this offseason, that doesn't eliminate their chances of selecting a receiver with the 21st pick.
Dane Brugler from The Athletic released his mock draft on Wednesday, predicting that the Steelers will select wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. from Indiana with the 21st pick.
"Cooper would be an ideal complement next to DK Metcalf and Michael Pittman Jr. in the Steelers offense," Brugler wrote. "With his ball skills and run-after-catch ability, Cooper is dangerous out of the slot as a catch-and-create player."
The Steelers could position Cooper in the slot, making the offense dynamic. As it stands, nobody knows who will be playing quarterback for Pittsburgh this season since Aaron Rodgers still hasn’t signed. However, adding Cooper alongside Pittman and Metcalf might just entice Rodgers to return for one more season.
