Listed at 6-foot-8 and 225 pounds, Tyler is a floor stretcher that can play either the wing or at the stretch four. As a sophomore this past season, Tyler averaged 6.8 points and 2.8 rebounds on 50-123 (41%) three-point shooting. Betsey is a three-point specialist — 73% of his attempts came from beyond the arc. He averaged 18 minutes per game. Betsey shot 44% from three in ACC play, which was #4 in the conference.
Kevin Young wants to add more shooting, and Betsey is a great fit for that. He can play either the wing or can play a stretch four role for BYU. Betsey could contend for starting minutes, but he may also be one of the BYU’s top bench guys as they look to increase their depth.
