TCU had one of the nation's top women's college basketball programs in 2025-26. On Monday, three of its players were drafted.
With the 37th pick in the 2026 WNBA draft, the Portland Fire selected TCU guard Taylor Bigby. Bigby joined teammates Olivia Miles and Marta Suarez in being drafted.
Bigby started 20 games for the Horned Frogs during the 2025-26 season, averaging 8.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists. She spent the last two seasons of her college career at TCU after stints at USC and Oregon.
The TCU guard was one of three players selected by the new Portland franchise. The Fire is one of two expansion teams that will begin WNBA play in 2026. Before Bigby, Portland selected guard Iyana Martin Carrion (first round) and forward Frieda Buhner (second round).
Led by players like Miles, Suarez and Bigby, TCU advanced to the NCAA Tournament's Elite Eight for theĀ second time in program history this year. Now, that group will look to continue its success at the next level.
