Returns from a massive recruiting weekend for Texas A&Mâs spring game continue to come in, as head coach Mike Elko and the Aggies continue to make a big impression on some of the best 2028 prospects in the country.
One of the headliners was Rivals No. 2 safety Casey Barner who gushed about his experience.
âThe environment in College Station for the spring game at Texas A&M Aggies football was electric,â Barner said. âYou could really feel how much pride the fans and the whole community have in the program it wasnât just loud, it was passionate and consistent the entire time. It gave a real sense of what game days are like there, and that definitely stood out.
âWhat continues to excite me about the opportunity to play for Mike Elko and the Aggies is how genuine everything feels. Coach Elko and his staff are very detail oriented and real with you theyâre not just selling a vision, theyâre showing exactly how you fit into it. You can tell theyâre building something strong and disciplined, especially on the defensive side.
âSpending time with the coaches was big for me. They made it clear they care about development on and off the field, and they took time to really break things down and connect. The way they communicate and coach stands out itâs intense but also very supportive.
âBeing around the players was another highlight. They welcomed me in, kept it real about their experiences, and you can tell thereâs a strong brotherhood in that locker room. Everyone is bought in, competing, and pushing each other, which says a lot about the culture theyâre building.
âOverall, it was a great experience and definitely gave me a lot to think about moving forward. â
In-state 2028 offensive linemen Jasper Ngokwere and Sean Sherman have Texas A&M heavy on the mind.
âThe environment in College Station is very nice,â Ngokwere said. âI loved seeing the energy being shown at the game between the players and the crowd. Everybody seemed like they were enjoying themselves and it was great to see Coach (Adam) Cushing coach the o-line. It excites me that I am able to have opportunity to play for such great coaches that I know can develop me into a great player and take my skills now and make it even better.â

âThe environment of Texas A&M is really consistent and family oriented,â Sherman said. âI am blessed to have the chance to play under the coaching of Mike Elko and Coach Cushing. I feel like they really care about my development.â
Texas A&M is off and running for Fort Worth (Texas) All Saints 2029 offensive tackle Carson Campbell.
âThe environment was very cool!â Campbell said. âItâs cool the sheer amount of people that were there! Texas A&M is definitely a program with a lot of history, and they have a great amount of excitement right now with them making the playoff last year and the roster theyâve assembled this year.â
