For now, the only guaranteed starter appears to be Joan Garcia in goal, while defensively, the biggest uncertainty continues to revolve around the right-back position.

While Kounde was part of the lineup tested in training, Flick is still reportedly considering whether Eric Garcia could start there instead.

The midfield situation also remains open despite Gavi’s recent strong performances.

Flick still has alternative plans in mind, with both Frenkie de Jong and Eric capable of partnering Pedri depending on the tactical approach chosen against Madrid.

The big uncertainty

One of the most interesting decisions concerns Barcelona’s attack, especially with Lamine Yamal unavailable.

Although Bardghji featured in the training lineup, reports suggest his recent displays have not fully convinced the coaching staff.

Because of that, Marcus Rashford is now emerging as a serious option to start against Real Madrid despite not appearing in the tested XI during the open session.

The striker role remains another major talking point. Throughout the season, Flick has regularly alternated between Lewandowski and Ferran Torres depending on the opponent and tactical demands.

This time, however, the Polish striker appeared to have the advantage during Saturday’s session.
