On Thursday, with the NFL draft roughly eight days away, Achane was spotted in Miami Gardens at the Dolphins team facility, according to ESPN’s national NFL reporter, Adam Schefter. What this means for contract talks can only be speculated at this time, but it certainly looks like good news for both the Dolphins and Achane. Achane, 24, is coming off his first career 1,000-yard season, carrying the ball a total of 238 times for 1,360 yards and eight touchdowns. He also added 67 receptions for 488 yards and 4 touchdowns as a pass-catcher, proving he is capable of being a three-down back in the NFL. How much Miami and Achane ultimately decide on is anyone’s guess. But with Miami’s star running back in attendance — voluntarily — the odds that this impasse could be coming to an end have grown significantly. Now it’s just up to Achane’s agent, Jon-Eric Sullivan, and the rest of Miami’s front office to get a deal done. We all know the age-old saying, “Running backs are a dime a dozen,” but that doesn’t apply to RBs like Achane. He’s a special player, and on a roster with so little to get excited about (currently), it is in everyone’s best interest to get a deal done now. Achane deserves it, and so do the fans. #PayTheMan
