With the No. 88 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars selected Pregnon, offensive guard, Oregon.
That’s more like it! After reaching up the board for former Texas A&M Aggies Nate Boerkircher and Albert Regis, the Jaguars found value with its third pick by nabbing Pregnon (41st on the consensus board) before he could slide any further. With prototypical size and years of starting experience, Pregnon can battle for a starter job immediately, though he figures to be more of a long-term answer at either guard spot. This seems like a very solid selection.

Reports
From Lance Zierlein of NFL.com:
Ultra-durable and experienced, Pregnon has the prototypical frame of a downhill blocker. He’ll get beat to first contact but usually reclaims the rep using well-placed hands, a broad base and upper-body power to displace and finish with authority.
From Dane Brugler of The Athletic:
Pregnon checks the boxes for size, power and competitive demeanor that NFL teams — specifically, those running gap schemes — look for in a starting guard. His profile is reminiscent of a more explosive O’Cyrus Torrence, and his draft projection should be similar.
From Andrew Oja of Sports Info Solutions:
Pregnon is an experienced and massive interior presence in the trenches who has the power and strength in the run and pass game to be a quality starter early in his NFL career.
From Brandon Thorn of Bleacher Report:
Emmanuel Pregnon is a stout, people-moving guard with thick limbs, huge hands and a nasty demeanor, but his wide base can leave him late and stranded against movement across his face. Still, his size, experience, and play strength project him as an early starter — and if he tightens his footwork to improve sustain and recovery, he has a path to becoming an above-average starter.
