The Top 10 Landing Spots for Stefon Diggs

10. Baltimore Ravens

Diggs was born about an hour from the Ravens’ stadium, so there’s a hometown element here. Baltimore will roll out Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, and Devontez Walker as the main veteran wideouts in 2026, along with two rookies: Ja’Kobi Lane and Elijah Sarratt.

That’s a full house, but there’s a world where the Ravens’ front office realizes that Diggs is a better veteran pass-catcher than Bateman and Walker.

9. Minnesota Vikings

Not a typo — the Vikings need a WR3. Tai Felton is the only realistic option on the existing depth chart, and he hardly played on offense as a rookie. As of May, nobody knows if Minnesota intentionally redshirted him last year, paving the way for big plans in 2026 and beyond. Felton could also be another Kwesi Adofo-Mensah gaffe pick.

Minnesota recently met with Jauan Jennings about a free-agent contract, though the two sides haven’t settled on a reasonable price. Perhaps Diggs could take a smaller piece of the pie than Jennings.

Diggs spent his first five seasons with the Vikings. A career bookend could look attractive, especially with Kyler Murray distributing the ball in September.

8. Washington Commanders

Like the Ravens angle, the Commanders’ stadium is even closer to Diggs’s hometown. It’s about 30-45 minutes away. Often, players gravitate toward their childhood homes late in their careers. It’s a thing.

The Commanders, meanwhile, may need a stronger WR3 than Luke McCaffrey.

7. Detroit Lions

Drew Petzing was Diggs’s wide receiver coach with the Vikings when he began his career; now Petzing runs the Lions’ offense. There’s a world where Detroit’s front office views Diggs as a cleaner WR3 option than second-year speedster Isaac TeSlaa.

If one believes that the Lions will bounce back from their 2025 doldrums, this is also a Super Bowl contender destination for Diggs, who doesn’t have much time left in the big leagues.

6. Atlanta Falcons

Kevin Stefanski now runs the show in Atlanta, and he has ties to Diggs from their days with the Vikings. After Drake London on the Falcons’ depth chart, it’s Jahan Dotson and Olamide Zaccheaus. Showcasing Bijan Robinson, Drake London, Kyle Pitts, and Diggs next to Tua Tagovailoa or Michael Penix Jr. — with Stefanksi running the show — has a nice ring to it.

5. New York Giants

Giants boss Joe Schoen was reared by the Buffalo Bills, crossing paths with Diggs during his stint on Brandon Beane’s staff. Chad Hall is also the Giants’ wide receivers coach, and he held the same role in Buffalo when Diggs was there.

Malik Nabers, Darius Slayton, Darnell Mooney, rookie Malachi Fields, and Diggs would ensure that second-year signal-caller Jaxson Dart is set up to cook.

4. Dallas Cowboys

Diggs grew up as a Cowboys fan, and Kyler Murray proved that childhood fandom can matter in free agency, picking his childhood squad, the Vikings, as his 2026 employer.

The Cowboys’ offensive boss is Ken Dorsey, who ran the Bills’ offense when Diggs worked there.

CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, and Diggs — Jerry Jones would probably green-light this.

3. Miami Dolphins

Diggs stopped by the Houston Texans in 2024, while Bobby Slowik served as the offensive coordinator. Fast forward to 2026, and Slowik runs the Dolphins’ offense.

2. Las Vegas Raiders (ties to Klint, Andrew Janocko)

More Vikings connections: new Raiders skipper Klint Kubiak was the Vikings’ quarterback coach when Diggs wound down his stay in the Twin Cities. Las Vegas’s offensive coordinator, Andrew Janocko, also worked for the same coaching staff in Minnesota.

Like Miami, Diggs could realistically be the Raiders’ WR1 in 2026. Kirk Cousins is also the quarterback; Diggs cooked with Cousins in 2018 and 2019. On paper right now, former Viking Jalen Nailor is the Raiders’ WR1. Diggs would snatch that title.

1. New England Patriots

Diggs banked 85 receptions, 1,013 yards, and 4 touchdowns in New England last year. He was the club’s WR1 by a long shot. Then, the Patriots didn’t re-sign him, suggesting they might’ve been waiting for his strangulation malarkey to blow over. Well, it has blown over.

New England has since signed Romeo Doubs. Pairing him with Diggs in 2026 makes sense, particularly if Robert Kraft views Diggs in a positive light.

Diggs has already built a rapport with Drake Maye. Running it back in New England — a team that just reached the Super Bowl — remains the most likely outcome.
