The sophomore's new landing spot is still in the state of Texas, but he's switching out purple for burnt orange and Fort Worth for Austin. He was an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention for his 2025-26 campaign.
In his breakout year, he recorded 14.1 points per game and 6.8 rebounds per game, both of which led the Horned Frogs. He had a 16 point, 13 rebound double-double in TCU's first round tournament win over Ohio State. He also assisted the game winning basket.

Texas currently has the No. 2 portal class according to 247Sports with the commitment of Punch and Isaiah Johnson from Colorado. Johnson, a point guard, will work well in tandem with Punch.
Head coach Sean Miller, who brought the Longhorns to the Sweet 16 last month in his first year leading Texas, is building a strong program in Austin. Punch and Johnson are the first two pieces to join the team, and only two have departed.
The team finished 21-15 and 9-9 in the SEC, barely making it into the big dance as an 11 seed who had to play in the first four. Texas defeated NC State in that first game before upsetting BYU and Gonzaga and only losing to Purdue by two points.
The Longhorns are making their case to be have long-term in the SEC under Miller. Punch is the biggest piece for them to continue growing in the conference and as a program.
