Striker Ermedin Demirović, who scored the equalizer against lowly Bremen, remains upbeat that the top four and playing in the Champions League like two seasons ago is possible.
"We have three finals ahead of us plus the final afterwards," he said.
"“Of course, everyone knows we’re good at top matches and that we’re in good form. It’ll be tough; it won’t be easy. But I think these are exactly the kind of matches we’re best suited to.”
Coach Sebastian Hoeness admitted to "mixed feelings" after the Bremen draw but also said: “We’ll take a breather and then really look forward to the crucial matches ahead of us. We’re in a position where our fate is still in our own hands.”
Board member for sport Fabian Wohlgemuth said they will try "with all means" to be in the top four but, with at least another place in the Europa League secured, he has also already named the season a success.
"And if the icing on the cake – the Champions League – were to be added to that, then it wouldn’t just be a very good season, but an absolutely outstanding one," Wohlgemuth said.
