VICKSBURG — The Three Rivers boys finished the Wolverine Conference season with an undefeated record. The Wildcats backed it up at the conference championships Friday in Vicksburg, posting 138 points to beat Vicksburg's 133.5 team points.
It was the second consecutive conference championship for Three Rivers. Head coach Jason Muckel was also named as the Coach of the Year for the conference.
Carter Rice won both hurdle events to earn conference championships. He ran to first place overall in the 110 hurdles in 14.58 seconds and scored a time of 39.50 seconds in the 300 hurdles. He met the MHSAA early qualifying time in the 110 hurdles, as did teammate DJ Fuller, who finished second in 15.16 seconds.
Three Rivers won its second consecutive Wolverine Conference championship on Friday evening.

The Wildcats finished second in the distance relay races. In the mile, the team of Brayden Carpenter, Fuller, Dominick Banks and Stewart ran a time of 3:27.37. In the two-mile, the squad of Charlie Brauer, Jonah Zietlow, Troyer Serna and David Kore posted 8:14.48.
David Wills finished second in the high jump competition. He cleared the bar at 6-4.
Sturgis had a conference champion in the adaptive wheelchair race. Gift Mugisha won the 100 meter race with a time of 30.38 seconds. Mugisha also won the adaptive shot put, tossing a distance of 4-6.
Caleb Hohn ran to second place in the 200 meters, his time was 22.29.
Beckett Lamb finished second overall in the long jump event. He cleared a distance of 19-10.5 feet.
Sturgis was third in the sprint relays. The 400 saw Drake Fisher, Hohn, Lamb and Lukis Bir run a time of 43.98. In the 800 relay, the team of Fisher, Lamb, Hohn and Jason Stutzman ran a time of 1:32.17.
