ATP Tennis World No. 3 player Alexander Zverev is a well-known Bayern Munich fan and there is no chance that he would miss the Bavarians taking on Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday…even if he has some business to attend to at BMW Open in Munich.
Zverev is slated to face Canada’s Gabriel Diallo.
“I’ll be at Allianz Arena on Wednesday regardless of whether the tournament schedule allows it. If Manuel Neuer has another day like the one he had a week ago, then we won’t lose another game. Prediction? Bayern will win,” Zverev said (as captured by Bild via @iMiaSanMia).
That sounds like some serious commitment to his fandom.
Bayern Munich leads Real Madrid 2-1 on aggregate entering the second leg, but this does figure to be an extremely intense battle as the LaLiga power is clinging on to the only competition that it might still have a chance to win a trophy in.
Surely, there will be fireworks and Zverev will be there to see it…even if he had to pull some (tennis) strings.
