Rushville
The Rushville track and field teams competed at Warren Central at the Dennis McNulty Invitational. Only nine boys and six girls qualified to compete among the Class 4A schools like Warren Central, Fishers, Carmel, Center Grove, Floyd Central, Bishop Chatard, Lake Central, Roncalli, Zionsville and Shelbyville.
Coach Tush noted, βIf we want to be better, we need to compete with some of the best. That was the case as we saw Warren Centralβs Kamere James bust a 10.9 in the 100 dash, Ryke Meyer a 49.76 in the 400, five boys under 2:00 in the 800 and that was just on the track for the boys. The girls were no different as three girls ran under 57 seconds in the 400, and high jumper Kira Smith won and is ranked No. 1 in the country under 20 years of age.β
