'Arsenal have flipped the pressure on to Man City in title race'
Arsenal's 3-0 win over Fulham puts pressure on Man City in the title race.
Defensive lineman Devarrick Woods had a positive visit to Florida State University as he considers transferring from Texas State. He is also scheduled to visit the Florida Gators next.
The Florida State Seminoles are looking to shore up the depth along their defensive line, and are battling the Florida Gators to do so. FSU hosted Texas State defensive line transfer Devarrick Woods on a visit this week, and he is now set to visit the Gators, according to Chris Nee of Noles247.
While he is still set to visit Florida, it sounds like the Seminoles made a good impression on Woods.
"It was great," Woods said of the visit. "I loved the people. Great environment."
Woods played in 11 games last year, recording 16 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, and a quarterback hurry in 177 snaps. He spent the prior two years at Hinds Community College, making 66 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, and three pass breakups in 18 total games.
He was originally set to be out of eligibility, but the NCAA recently gave him an extra season, and he knows what he is looking for in his final year.
"Just a great environment around coaches that help me to develop to play on the next level," Woods said.
He is originally from Bossier City, Louisiana, and was a member of the 2021 recruiting class. He started his career as an unranked prospect at Hinds Community College. He was considered a three-star prospect when he signed with Texas State, with the 247Sports composite ranking him as the No. 89 player overall and No. 19 defensive lineman in their JUCO rankings. He has not received a ranking this offseason.
FSU signed his Texas State teammate Jordan Sanders earlier in the offseason. While Woods does not project as a starter, he would give more experience and depth to a room that is largely unproven, if they can land him.
