Trout had five home runs in the series
That’s only been done against the Yankees by three players--George Bell (June 1990), Darrell Evans (Sept. 1985) and Jimmie Foxx (June 1933). All three players did it at home, so Trout became the first road player to accomplish the feat.
Trout has now homered in five straight games against the Yankees dating back to last season
That ties him with three other players for the longest streak in this category—Mark Trumbo (2012), Albert Belle (1994) and Harold Baines (1984-85). Circle August 31 on your baseball calendar, because that’s when the Yankees come to Anaheim and Trout gets his chance to extend this streak. He’s also the first player to do this on the road since Roy Sievers back in 1958, but that streak will have to wait until next year to give Trout his extension shot.
