After the Philadelphia 76ers became the 14th team to ever come back from a 3-1 lead to win the series, the Detroit Pistons enter Sunday on the brink of history themselves.
Detroit looked to be in dire straits against the Orlando Magic, as their physical defense made for a very poor matchup with the Pistons’ lack of secondary offensive creators behind Cade Cunningham.
However, aided by an untimely injury to Franz Wagner for the Magic, the Pistons have started to look like the 60-win team they were this season, picking up two decisive wins to set up what should be an epic Game 7.
The Eastern Conference playoffs have been a bloodbath from the very beginning, as evidenced by three out of four series reaching a Game 7.

First Pick: Detroit Pistons vs. Orlando Magic – Under 202
Rundown: The Magic’s offense inconsistency has been the biggest reason their season has been so disappointing, as the Desmond Bane trade was expected to vault Orlando into the class of contenders to come out of the East.
After taking a 3-1 lead, the NBA world believed we might be seeing the Magic team we expected heading into the year, but their offensive woes have reared their ugly head in Games 5 and 6, and that’s been exacerbated by the loss of Wagner.
Orlando scored just 19 points in the second half of Game 6, the second-least in a half in NBA history.
Detroit has still not found answers to how Orlando has shut down its offense, particularly with how they have shut down All-Star center Jalen Duran, but have found success in forcing the Magic into a rockfight.
While the Pistons should be the pick here, the -8.5 spread is a little tough to back considering how low-scoring and tightly-contested this series has been.
With neither team having shown a competent playoff level offense through six games, the under is the play here.
These teams combined for 172 points in Game 6, and with the pressure of a do-or-die Game 7 looming over the young Pistons and Magic, expect another low-scoring game to end this series.
Second Pick: Toronto Raptors +8 over Cleveland Cavaliers

Rundown: After witnessing how much of a war the Eastern Conference has been these playoffs, laying eight points is just far too many in a Game 7 of back-and-forth series.
The Raptors have covered in four straight games in this series, and the Cavs have not been great at covering as a home favorite all year, going 17-24 against the spread.
The Raptors’ rangy, lengthy defenders have really bothered the Cavs star backcourt of Donovan Mitchell and James Harden, who have both had several big-game blemishes in the playoffs through their careers.
On the flip side, Toronto’s young core may show some growing pains in their first Game 7 as a unit, which projects Sunday’s battle to be a close, low-scoring defensive affair.
