After nearly falling out of the Top-10 in the 2026 NFCA/GoRout Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll, the UCLA softball team climbed their way back up to No. 5 in this week's poll.
The Bruins two Big Ten Conference losses to the No. 3 ranked Nebraska earlier in the season snapped a 22-game winning streak and pushed UCLA from No. 7 down to No. 9. In less than a month, UCLA gradually clawed their way to the top-five and have a 15-game winning streak as they head into their last conference series of the regular season against No. 11 Oregon.
Following the series against the Cornhuskers, UCLA's offense has hummed with explosive outings in all three-games against Illinois, their doubleheader against California and most recently their nine-run series finale against Washington.
The unranked Huskies lost their No. 24 position and fell off of the poll after the Bruins swept them over the weekend.
The Bruins are not short on explosive playmakers, but the season has been special with multiple star sluggers putting up impressive numbers, including senior infielder Jordan Woolery, whom is on the cusp of making history as the first Division I play ever to record 30+ home runs, 100+ RBIs and post a batting average over .500.
UCLA softball is currently ranked No. 5 in the NFCA Coaches Poll.

UCLA's series against the Ducks goes from Friday, May 1 to Sunday, May 3 and then they will have the Big Ten Tournament starting on Wednesday, May 6.
