Over the weekend, the USC baseball team picked up yet another home sweep, dominating Rutgers over three games at Dedeaux Field. With the victories, the Trojans improved to 37-12 on the 2026 season and 19-8 in Big Ten play.
Following the sweep, USC moved up in the latest USA Today Coaches Poll. The Trojans rose one spot and are now ranked No. 16 in the country.
USC is one of four Big Ten teams currently in the top 25. Crosstown rival UCLA remained No. 1, followed by No. 14 Oregon and No. 24 Nebraska. The Huskers fell eight spots after getting swept by Ohio State over the weekend.
Those four have also established themselves at the top of the conference standings. The Bruins have already wrapped up the Big Ten regular season title and are a perfect 17-0 in conference play. Meanwhile, the Huskers and Ducks are tied for second place at 17-7, while the Trojans sit slightly behind those two on percentage points. (USC has played three more conference games than both schools.)
The Trojans were swept by both UCLA and Nebraska earlier this month. They will travel up to Eugene to face Oregon to wrap up the regular season next week.
This week, USC will look to close out its home schedule on a high note as the Trojans play their final four regular season games at Dedeaux Field. They will host Cal State Fullerton on Tuesday night, followed by a three-game series with Nevada Thursday through Saturday.
