Former Mount Si High School standout forward Lattimore Ford announced his commitment to the Washington Huskies on Friday, marking the first prep addition for coach Danny Sprinkle in the 2026 class.
Ford, a 6-foot-7 versatile wing, proved to be a uniquely dominant player for the Wildcats as a sophomore and junior, averaging 17.3 and 18.2 points per game before a devastating knee injury almost derailed his college basketball dreams.
Sprinkle extended an offer to the three-star recruit, per 247Sports' rankings, back in 2024 after he was previously offered by former coach Mike Hopkins. Over the years since receiving his offer from the in-state school, Ford has kept a keen eye on the program and made his decision final on Friday.
"My game could be described as very unique, not many people play like me," Ford said after he announced a move to play for Combine Academy in North Carolina last year. "I’m versatile, can do everything, I can play any position, and provide whatever my coach asks me to. I impact the game in every way, and I am a triple-double threat each game.”
Ford ultimately picked UW over offers from Oklahoma, Stanford, Utah, Montana State, Utah State, San Diego State, Washington State, Idaho, and Seattle University, among others, a significant under-the-radar addition for Sprinkle as the Huskies coach continues to overhaul his roster going into year three on Montlake.
The Snoqualmie native joins transfers Parker Friedrichsen (guard, Davidson), Steele Venters (G/F, Gonzaga), Ryan Beasley (G, San Francisco), and LeJuan Watts (F, Texas Tech), along with returning centers Lathan Sommerville and Mady Traore, forward Nikola Dzepina, and guards Wesley Yates III, Jasir Rencher, and Brandon Roy Jr., a walk-on.
With the addition of Ford, Sprinkle has seven scholarship spots remaining to fill out the remainder of the Huskies' 2026-27 roster to reach the NCAA limit.
