According to ESPN, Wembanyama became the youngest Spurs player ever to record seven blocks in a playoff game during the 114-93 victory.
He is also the first San Antonio player to reach that number in the postseason since Tim Duncan achieved the feat back in 2007.
Duncan’s performance came against the Phoenix Suns in Game 6 of the Western Conference semi-finals, where he produced a dominant all-round display.

On that occasion, alongside 24 points and 13 rebounds, Duncan registered nine blocks in one of the defining defensive outings of his playoff career.
Beyond his defensive dominance, Wembanyama also played a key offensive role in the win.
He finished as the game’s second-leading scorer with 27 points, just one behind top scorer De’Aaron Fox.
The Frenchman also added 11 rebounds to his tally.
It was a statement performance that reinforced his status as the Spurs’ central figure in their title push.
