The Minnesota Vikings are sitting content with their NFL Draft work, but the franchise still has some housekeeping to do.
And it involved receiver Jordan Addison.
With the receiver entering Year 4, the franchise was reportedly interested in picking up his fifth-year option, and according to the team, that is exactly what they've done.
Minnesota, in picking up Addison's fifth-year option, now has two years of control over the receiver before determining if they will sign him to a long-term deal.

After Jordan's first two years in the league, which saw him post at least 800 receiving yards and 9 TDs, last season, his form dipped.
Addison posted just 610 yards and 3 TDs with J.J. McCarthy as the quarterback, and Justin Jefferson also had a down year.
But now with Kyler Murray in the picture, maybe Addison can get back to the sort of form that had him on a trajectory towards a Pro Bowl in his first two seasons.
However, with the Vikings picking up his fifth-year option, now he has two full seasons to prove to the franchise he's worthy of a long-term deal.
It means the Vikings have secured two additional years of control over Addison before deciding on a long-term contract.
