The junior anchored Demarest to a come-from-behind victory and its first ever Penn Relays mini-wheel with a strong 58.55 split as the Norsewomen ran 4:03.83 and threatened the school record.
The junior sizzled at the Penn Relays in a very strong heat of the 4-x-400 relay, running the second 400 split of all North Jersey runners (57.32) which was the fastest anchor split in a race where eight teams ran under 4:10.
Injuries forced the talented senior into triple duty at Penn. She first ran a sub 2:20 800 leg as Ramapo ran the fastest North Jersey 4-x-800 of the year as planned but then had to fill in on a solid 4-x-100 team and helped Ramapo's 4-x-400 relay team to the fastest time ever recorded at Penn by a North Jersey team.
The senior, who is headed for Arkansas State, had her season's best vault when she cleared 12-2 3/4, nearly a foot higher than she vaulted a year ago at Penn Relays to finish sixth and just miss a medal.
The sophomore leaped into the spotlight in the same race as Estrems, moving the Patriots from fifth to second with a 58.60 400 split, enabling her team to win its first set of medals at Penn in a strong 4:05.40.
Voting closes at 5 p.m. Thursday.
