Washington football makes top five for four-star Arizona iOL

The Washington Huskies are finalists for one of their top targets on the offensive line in the 2027 class, four-star DaJohn Yarborough.

On Monday morning, the 6-foot-5, 340-pound prospect who moved from Minnesota to Basha High School in Arizona, listed the Huskies alongside California, Florida State, Mississippi State, and Rutgers as he narrows down his list of 28 offers ahead of his June 27 commitment date.

Yarborough, who is ranked as the nation's No. 408 overall prospect and No. 22 interior offensive lineman in the class by the 247Sports Composite, has lined up four official visits thus far. He's set to return home on May 29 to check out the Minnesota Golden Gophers, before a trip to Florida State on June 5, and Cal on June 11, before wrapping things up with the Huskies on June 19.

After transferring to Basha, quarterback Demond Williams Jr.'s alma mater, for his junior season, it didn't take long for Jedd Fisch's coaching staff to extend an offer to Yarborough before he took an unofficial visit to Seattle in late September to take in Washington's matchup with the then-No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes.

However, just as his stock was beginning to rise nationally while blocking for one of the nation's top running back prospects, four-star Noah Roberts, Yarborough's season came to a premature end when he suffered a fractured ankle. But Fisch and offensive line coach Michael Switzer weren't deterred by the injury and continued to build a relationship with him, taking a visit to Basha in late January.

Now, as his recruitment enters the final stretch and the Huskies are still searching for their first pledge along the offensive line, Yarborough is a top priority target for Switzer and the rest of Washington's coaching staff.
