Barcelona's hopes of winning the Champions League have ended after a quarter-final defeat to Atletico Madrid. This marks another year without the title, with their last win in 2025.

Barcelona’s Champions League dreams have ended once again with a disappointing defeat to La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid in the quarter-finals of the tournament.
The result means the European Cup continues to remain just out of reach for the Catalan giants, with their last victory in the competition coming all the way back in 2025.
Raphinha has raged about the refereeing after the two games, while Frenkie de Jong says luck wasn’t on Barcelona’s side over the two legs.
There were certainly plenty of controversial decisions over the two games, but Barca were also guilty of missing chances and saw both Pau Cubarsi and Eric Garcia sent off in the two legs against Atletico.
