Report: Rams have made calls about trading up and down in Round 1
Rams eyeing trades up and down in the NFL Draft with 13th pick.
The New England Patriots will be on the clock with the No. 31 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft around 10:22 p.m. ET. The draft starts at 8:00 p.m. ET and is expected to conclude around 10:30 p.m. ET.
When will the New England Patriots be on the clock during the 2026 NFL Draft on Thursday?
The Patriots currently own the No. 31 overall pick of the draft, which means fans will have to stay up late to see them get their chance on the board. With the draft starting at 8:00 p.m. ET, ESPN's Mike Reiss predicted that the Patriots would be on the board at around the 10:22 p.m. ET mark.
Reiss wrote:
"The NFL estimates that Thursday's first round, which begins at 8 p.m. ET, should end around 10:30 p.m. ET.
That would be a quickened pace from last year when the first round lasted 3:29. Each team gets eight minutes per selection in the first round this year, down from 10 minutes last year. If the Patriots stick and pick at No. 31, that would put them around the 10:22 p.m. ET mark."
The last time the Patriots picked at No. 31 was in 2018, when they selected former Georgia running back Sony Michel. Granted, Michel's run was cut short due to injuries, but he played a key role in improving the Patriots' ground game and ultimately helped them win their sixth Super Bowl.
Running back likely isn't at the top of the to-do list for the Patriots this year. There are clear holes at edge rusher, offensive tackle, wide receiver, tight end and interior defensive line. The Patriots will have an opportunity to address every need with 11 draft picks spread out across the much-anticipated three-day event.
