FanDuel Sports Network Detroit will cease operations soon, ending broadcasts of local sports teams. Subscribers with outstanding payments should seek guidance on cancellation and refunds.
FanDuel Sports Network Detroit's time broadcasting Red Wings, Pistons and Tigers games has come to an end, as its parent company, Main Street Sports Group, plans to cease operations in the coming days.
But what if you still have an outstanding subscription that you've already paid for, either monthly or annually?
It's a question that we've been asked plenty, and here's what we know?
To reach out to FanDuel Sports Network, try visiting the company's help page HERE, where there is an option to manage your subscription. Customers have reported being able to cancel monthly subscriptions in the last few days, but they've also received follow-up emails saying, "We're sorry to see you go," with an option to renew. So that suggests you might want to be proactive about cancelling; it might not happen on its own, even though FanDuel Sports Network's run ended following the Red Wings' 8-1 loss to the Florida Panthers on Wednesday.
FanDuel Sports Network Detroit offered monthly and annual subscriptions, so if you're an annual customer, there's a good chance you've fronted months worth of money for essentially no more game broadcasts. If that's the case, FanDuel Sports Network's help page said it is offering prorated refunds because of changes in coverage. You can get more information on how to do that HERE.
Yes. If you've subscribed through an add-on at Amazon Prime, you can go through them to cancel and/or get a prorated refund. If you have a traditional cable package, you'll want to check with your provider about making sure you're not being charged for the FanDuel Sports Network Detroit add-on fee.
No. The teams have already or are moving on from FanDuel Sports Network to new broadcasting platforms. Any billing issues you have with FanDuel Sports Network Detroit, your cable company or Amazon Prime have nothing to do with the teams.
The Tigers have moved to Detroit SportsNet, under the MLB Media umbrella, with the channel available through most major cable carriers, and streaming available through MLB.TV. The Red Wings will move to Detroit SportsNet for the 2026-27 season. The Pistons haven't announced their future plans yet.
FanDuel's run in Detroit ended with Wednesday's regular-season finale for the Red Wings. The Pistons are in the playoffs, but those games will be broadcast on national platforms.
