The Green Bay Packers' 2026 draft class received a GPA of 2.81, ranking 21st among 32 teams. They had a mix of grades, including a couple of 'A-' and one 'D', reflecting their limited picks and absence of a first-round selection.
The six-player draft class for the Green Bay Packers in the 2026 draft ranked slightly below average in grade point average based on over 20 post-draft evaluations from national analysts.
Rene Brugler gathered the grades for all 32 teams from 24 different evaluators. The Packers' GPA finished at 2.81, ranking 21st overall -- just below the Chicago Bears at No. 20.
The Packers received a couple of "A-" grades but also one "D" grade. Most of the grades were in the "C+" to "B" range, which seems fitting given the Packers did not have a first-round pick (due to acquiring Micah Parsons) and made only six total picks. As was the case for Dane Brugler of The Athletic, a lack of a premium pick and a lack of overall volume hurt the Packers, who traded up twice and ended up taking five players and a kicker.
DISCLAIMER: Instant draft grades are mostly meaningless little things. For most, it’s basically an exercise in looking at the general consensus on a player, figuring out if the player was a reach or a steal, and then doing it several more times, all while trying to understand if the team addressed the perceived draft needs. And it’s nearly impossible to factor in how each individual player will develop amidst a million different variables. Needs are a constantly moving target. The best grades are "incomplete" grades. True grades can’t be established until two or three years down the road. But instant draft grades are undeniably fun. They can be informative if done correctly. Evaluating the process is valuable. We don’t know what the players will become, but we can try to understand what the team was thinking during each part of the event. And if an expert really knows the players, grading value in each draft slot can be accomplished to some degree.
