Oregon will host USC in Eugene to close out the regular season and wrap up Big Ten play. The Ducks are fourth in the conference standings, but if they can take down the Trojans, they could finish as high as second place before heading to Omaha for the conference tournament.
Still, there are postseason implications beyond the Big Ten tournament in play for the Ducks. The latest batch of projections for the NCAA Tournament has the Ducks ranging from hosting a regional on their home turf to taking their show on a cross-country flight for the first round.
D1Baseball projects the Ducks to clinch the No. 16 overall seed, earning the final bid to host a regional round. That's a big deal, and one that will likely only happen if the Ducks can take care of the Trojans this weekend. It would be Oregon's second consecutive season hosting a regional.
The projected field for the Eugene Regional isn't easy. SEC powerhouse Arkansas would make the trip to the Pacific Northwest as the No. 2 seed in the regional. Gonzaga, which the Ducks beat recently in Eugene, would be the No. 3 seed, while Wright State takes the final spot.
The winner of the Eugene Regional would match up against the winner of the Los Angeles Regional, which UCLA is projected to host. The Ducks took one of three games from the Bruins last weekend.
USA TODAY is more pessimistic about Oregon's hopes for the regional round. The projections from USA TODAY have the Ducks as a No. 2 seed traveling across the country into SEC territory in Gainesville, Florida. The Florida Gators would host the regional as the projected No. 10 overall seed. The Ducks would be joined by No. 3 seed NC State and No. 4 seed SIU-Edwardsville.
The latest projections indicate that Oregon Ducks baseball could clinch the No. 16 overall seed, allowing them to host a regional round in the NCAA Tournament.

Oregon is No. 19 in the RPI rankings before its final series of the regular season. USC is No. 8 in the RPI rankings, so a couple of wins or a sweep could help the Ducks secure their spot within the top 16 to host a regional before they head to Omaha for the Big Ten tournament. The bracket will be unveiled on Monday after the conference tournament is complete.
