Warren Sharp of Sharp Football Analysis has crunched the numbers for the strength of schedules for all 32 teams in the NFL and revealed where the Pittsburgh Steelers stand.
Sharp's method uses projected win totals from Vegas Oddsmakers rather than teams' records from the previous season. As he explains, this is the better way to do it, as using the records from last season doesn't take into account offseason changes teams make, which can significant shift their fate.
The Steelers are being given a win total of 8.5 from Las Vegas, and based on the win totals of their opponents, the Steelers rank right in the middle of the NFL in strength of schedule at No. 18.
When it comes to their division mates, the Steelers have the toughest schedule.
The Cincinnati Bengals (No. 3), Cleveland Browns (No. 4) and (No. 6) all have easier slates than Pittsburgh.
