Liverpool goalkeeper Freddie Woodman was thrown into the Merseyside derby at Everton after an injury to Giorgi Mamardashvili left the Reds down to their third-choice goalie.
With Alisson Becker already unavailable due to injury, Mamardashvili was stretchered off following a painful collision when Beto scored the equaliser for Everton.
Woodman, 29, joined Liverpool last summer on a free transfer from Preston North End. It was his first appearance for Liverpool in the Premier League, and only his second since making his Liverpool debut in the 3-0 Carabao Cup defeat to Crystal Palace earlier this season.
A former England youth international, Woodman started his career with Newcastle United but made just nine appearances for the club, with loan spells at Hartlepool, Crawley, Kilmarnock, Aberdeen, Swansea and Bournemouth.
He joined Preston in 2022 and made 138 appearances for the club before joining Liverpool at the end of his contract last season. His father, Andy Woodman, is a former professional goalkeeper and was a coach at , among other clubs.
