BLOOMINGTON āĀ Indiana basketball's 2025-26 roster is starting to take shape.
The Hoosiers landed three commitments out of the transfer portal on Monday with Notre Dame point guard Markus Burton, a former Indiana Mr. Basketball, headlining the group. He had a breakout sophomore season in 2024-25 by leading the ACC in league play with 23.5 points per game.
While an ankle injury limited him to just 10 games last season, he was only the fourth Notre Dame player over the last 30 years with more than 180 points, 30 assists and 15 steals in the their first 10 games.
Indiana also landed commitments from Georgia Tech guard Jaeden Mustaf and Duke guard Darren Harris. They will join a roster featuring Trent Sisley, the lone returning scholarship player on the roster, and a trio of highly ranked incoming freshman.
Indiana coach Darian DeVries still has plenty of work to do after graduating six players and six others entering the transfer portal. Here's the latest updates on IU's roster:

Notre Dame guard Markus Burton (Apr 13): Burton, a Mishawaka native, was the No. 24 overall ranked transfer and No. 7 ranked point guard, according to 247 Sports rankings. He averaged 19.1 points and 3.8 assists as a three-year starter for the Fighting Irish (69 career games). He committed to the Hoosiers after taking a recent visit to Houston.
Duke guard Darren Harris (Apr 13): Harris is a former top-50 recruit who earned 2023-24 Gatorade Virginia Player of the Year honors as a senior while leading Paul VI Catholic to a state title. Over two seasons with the Blue Devils, he averaged 3.3 points while playing 8.4 minutes per game.
Georgia Tech guard Jaeden Mustaf (Apr 13): Mustaf ranked No. 87 overall in 247 Sports transfer rankings. He averaged 10.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game while starting 23 games as a sophomore last season. Mustaf was a consensus 4-star prospect coming out of Overtime Elite.
Andrej Acimovic (Apr 13): Acimovic redshirted as a true freshman in the 2024-25 season. The 6-foot-10 center signed with the Hoosiers from Bosnia after averaging 17.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in the ABA League. He was one of two international players IU signed last season.
Nick Dorn (Apr 9): Dorn was the highest scoring player on the roster with eligibility left. As a junior, he averaged 8.1 points per game while shooting a team-high 38% from 3-point range. He played limited minutes for much of November after recovering from a foot surgery, but flashed his potential at midseason when he entered the starting lineup for an injured Tayton Conerway. Dorn averaged 22.3 points over his first three starts, but faded away after that and struggled shooting the rest of the year.
Aleksa Ristic (Apr 7): Ristic enrolled just days before IU's foreign tour to Puerto Rico then suffered a lower-body injury in September. He was sidelined for the first month of the season āĀ he made his debut in a 73-64 loss to Minnesota on Dec. 3 āĀ and played a total of 31 minutes the entire season. Ristic played professionally overseas for KK Dynamic, the top league in Serbia, for three seasons. In 2024-25, he averaged 13.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game while shooting 39.3% from 3-point range. He was the team's second-leading scorer.
Josh Harris (Apr 6): The only games Harris played for the Hoosiers came during their preseason foreign tour in Puerto Rico. He suffered a lower-body injury in September and remained on the injury report the rest of the season. The 6-foot-8 forward showed promise at North Florida in 2024-25 as the only freshman in Division I menās basketball to record at least 400 points and 200 rebounds on 55.0% or better shooting. He averaged 13.4 points and 7.1 rebounds en route to making the Atlantic Sun All-Freshman team.
Jasai Miles (Apr 6): Miles played limited minutes for much of the season, but ended up landing a role in Indiana's rotation as a defensive-minded presence and willing rebounder. He played double-digit minutes in seven of the team's final 13 games. Miles was the first commitment DeVries landed last season with multiple years of eligibility left. He was fresh off a standout season at North Florida in 2024-25 as one of only two players in the conference with 450 points, 200 rebounds and 75 3-pointers.
Jason Drake (Apr 1): Drake missed the entire season with a lower-body injury he suffered in practice ahead of IU's trip out to Puerto Rico for a series of exhibition games. He stayed back in Bloomington for the foreign tour and ended up staying on the team's injury report the entire year. He was a well-traveled junior having played for three different teams (Cleveland State, Butler Community College and Drexel) before arriving in Bloomington.
